The Quebec horsemen's association is reporting provincial regulators have given the green light to 10 days of live racing this fall at Hippodrome de Quebec in Quebec City
.
The issuance of a permit by the Regie des Alcools, Courses et Jeux means the Quebec Jockey Club can present the planned 10-race cards in September and October, starting Sept. 18 at 1 p.m.
Purses will average $20,000 per program and the final card will feature the 2010 running of Quebec City's historic five-mile race.
Qualifiers will begin during the second week of September.
