After a two-week hiatus, Horse Racing New Brunswick is back in action on Saturday afternoon (July 24) at Exhibition Park Raceway in Saint John. Post time is slated for 1 p.m. ADT.

New Brunswick was dark during the past two weeks to enable horsepeople to race and enjoy racing action at Summerside and Truro Raceway.

There will be a total of six races, including the regular top class event which includes Emperor, who comes off his fastest trip ever in the Maritimes after a scorching 1:54.2 mile at Summerside.

With that convincing win last week, Emperor is the fastest winner this season in the field. He will have stiff competition from the outside entry Blood Money, who comes off his solid performances in the Governor's Plate at Summerside for Dr. Mitch Downey. He will have the outside post six.

Thankyouallmyfans will start from post one for owner Kate MacNeil and catch driver John Davidson. Colin DeCourcey will get the driving assignment on Paris Beau, who starts for Doug Beckwith from post two.

Fall Bliss, another Downey entry, will leave from three. He has a season's best at Exhibition Park of 1:58. Don Dickison will pilot his own tough campaigner Double Down Dash from post five. He has a 1:58.4 win at Bangor this season.

Horse Racing New Brunswick will continue the Summer Handicapping Contest and the Autumn Gold Series this Saturday.

Racing can be seen live on Universum Media's live stream and can be accessed by visiting the official website for Horse Racing New Brunswick.
