A total of 22 Ohio Sires Stakes eligible juvenile fillies will head postward Friday night (July 24) at Scioto Downs in a trio of races, each of which will carry a purse of $40,000.

The second-leg action is part of the four-round series for the Buckeye State’s top Ohio-breds.

In the first sires stakes division (Race 2), Leave Her Wild will try to repeat her performance from Leg 1. The daughter of Domethatagain posted a 1:55.1 clocking in the opening leg for driver Mike Wilder and owner/trainer Danielle Snyder. The Leg 1 effort was Leave Her Wild's pari-mutuel debut (she also has another overnight victory to her credit).

A trio of sires stakes Leg 1 winners are set to face off in the second division (Race 10). Lady Arthur was the fastest of the three with a 1:53.3 score for trainer Dr. Ian Moore and driver Ronnie Wrenn Jr. The homebred daughter by Arthur Blue Chip is owned by Dr. Moore, RG McGroup and Serge Savard.

The undefeated Racing Hill filly Winella Hanover hails from the powerful stable of trainer Ron Burke and captured her Leg 1 test in 1:54.4 for driver Chris Page. Winella Hanover, who is owned by Burke Racing, Weaver Bruscemi, J. Melillo and J&T Silva-Purnel&Libby, won a Next Generation Pace at Scioto earlier in the season.

Sentimental is a John Ackley trainee who captured her Leg 1 assignment in 1:56.1 with Tyler Smith at the controls. The daughter of The Panderosa was bred by Marvin Raber and is owned by the CT Stables.

The final sires stakes contest of the night (Race 12), which looks to be more wide open, is headed up by Gucci from Post 1. Owned by Tim Homan, this bay daughter by Nob Hill High is trained by Christi Noble and was a strong second to Winella Hanover in that Leg 1 contest, clocked in 1:55 in her pari-mutuel debut.
