Lyne Caouette Passes

Trot Insider has learned that owner/horsewoman Lyne Caouette, 51, of Garson, Ont., passed away Tuesday, June 18 at Health Sciences North from complications arising from her battle with kidney failure.

Caouette, a loving partner, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, was the picture of someone who loved life immensely and always gave of herself to everyone. She loved horses, scrapbooking, a great game of bowling and spending time with her family and friends at camp.

Born in Sudbury on February 22, 1962, the oldest of three children, Lyne's memory will be forever cherished by her parents Gilles and Huguette Caouette, her brother Don Caouette, her dear sister Joanne Caouette (Gord) and her loving partner Gilles. Lyne will be dearly missed by many; aunts, uncles, cousins and life-long friends. Soft-spoken but passionate about her children and grandchildren, Lyne is survived by her two daughters Stephanie (Eric) and Jasmine and will be dearly missed by her three grandchildren Meeya, Bentley and Kylie.

There are not enough words to thank the staff, nurses and doctors of the Health Sciences North Nephrology and Palliative Care Units for their care of Lyne and her family in her last days. Lyne's family would also like to extend its sincerest gratitude to Dr. Nistico for her compassion, to Martine and Linda for their dedication, and to the nurses in the dialysis unit for always providing a warm smiling face and a caring hand for Lyne over the years. And to Allison, words cannot express how thankful the family is for your help.

Visitation in the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Friends may call between 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21.

Funeral Mass in Paroisse Ste. Dominique, 1241 Diane St., Sudbury on Saturday, June 22 at 11:00 a.m.
