On Thursday, June 18, the Meadowlands Racetrack released the second installment of the 'Road to the Meadowlands Pace.'
As trainers continue to scramble to get their horses raced (or qualified), there were no changes in Week 2 of Dave Little's Road to the Meadowlands Pace.
Tall Dark Stranger has recorded one qualifying effort thus far in 2020 (he finished third in a Meadowlands Racetrack qualifier on June 12 and kicked home with a :25.4 final quarter).
“He was very good in his qualifier," trainer Nancy Takter told the Meadowlands' media department. "He did everything we asked of him. We were just going around the track. Yannick (driver Yannick Gingras) never really asked him. We’ll qualify him again Saturday (June 20) and stretch him out a bit more.
"The issue is anybody who has a horse with a lot of wins and earnings doesn’t have a lot of opportunity to get raced. The upper classes aren’t filling.”
