Trot Insider has learned that Korvette Hanover passed on Wednesday (May 5), according to his owners. He was 27.

The son of Super Bowl and Keystone Impala raced exclusively for Julian Bertozzi and Phil Bisback, both of Ontario. In 72 starts, Korvette Hanover won 20 times and registered 16 minor placings, amassing $291,940 while taking on some of Ontario's top overnight trotters in a career that spanned from 1998 to 2002. He earned berths in three renewals of the Maple Leaf Trot, and finished fifth behind Magician in the 2000 Breeders Crown Open Trot at The Meadowlands.

Following his racing career, Korvette Hanover enjoyed minor success as a sire, fathering 28 horses, 10 of whom won. Two of his progeny, Barbies Korvett and Catch My Corvette, banked over $200,000 in their respective on-track careers.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the connections of Korvette Hanover.
