Trites Makes Exhibition Park Return

Last year's leading driver at Exhibition Park Raceway, Todd Trites, returns to the Saint John half-mile track this Saturday (May 29) and makes his season's debut.

Trites, a winner of over 2,300 races and over $3.6 million in purse money, last saw driving action at Truro Raceway back on Nov. 1, 2020. He will drive in four of the six races on Saturday's card.

Meanwhile, Little Manny will get back on track on Saturday, as the Fredericton-based pacer comes off a strong finish in the top class a week ago. He gets a slight class drop and will look to pounce on his rivals in the sixth race on the card.

Speaking of bouncing back, Blood Money and owner-trainer-driver Dr. Mitchell Downey will look to get back to his winning ways after tasting his first defeat last week in the top class. He will again face Woodmere Ideal Art, owned by the Ultimate Stable of Greater Lakeburn, N.B., who captured the main event last weekend.

It won't be an easy task for Blood Money, as he will face the red-hot Thankyouall Myfans for owner Kate MacNeil and driver Stephen Trites. Since landing in New Brunswick, the pacer has two wins and second in three starts.

Post time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (ADT) and presented by Horse Racing New Brunswick (HRNB). Wagering available on site or through H.P.I. Bet or at one of their teletheatre locations in Moncton and Fredericton.
