Come on out for a thrilling card of racing, beginning at 6:50 p.m., featuring returning champion pacer Foiled Again, who has amassed an impressive $3.6-million in earnings during his impressive career.
2012 also marks the inaugural year of the Molson ‘Post-Time Party,’ conveniently located adjacent to the track in the Progress Building, featuring country music star Dallas Smith, the Molson Extreme Team, a delicious patio BBQ, and a $500 'Win Bet Draw' for the feature race. Standardbred Canada's 'I Love Canadian Harness Racing' Fan Club will also be on site with merchandise to purchase, swag prize draws, and a free gift for the first 50 people to sign up.

Georgian Downs will present the $600,000 (guaranteed) Upper Canada Cup on Saturday May 26. The UCC has attracted a very solid group of equine athletes.
The celebrated sophomores will be racing for big money, and the race night will be loaded with complimentary high-class race events. The evening will feature the historic annual Honourable Earl Rowe Memorial Cup, which honours the area’s former Lieutenant Governor and founder of Barrie Raceway.
Spectators will know it is a special night when they are shuttled from the parking lot to the main entrance in an elegant landau carriage driven by a stunning team of Clydesdales. The Canadian theme will continue with Mountie greeters and a facility festooned with red and white balloons and flowers. The between-race entertainment will feature a host of crowd pleasing promotions which will include Money Machine Madness, where $1,000 will be up for grabs, plus Georgian’s special version of trackside 'Deal-No-Deal.'
Best of all, one lucky fan will go home with a Great Canadian Backyard Barbeque door prize: a premium barbeque and a stylish patio suite.
Then, round off your weekend with a scenic trip to Grand River Raceway in Elora for its annual (and free) open house on Sunday, May 27 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Come on out and explore the fascinating world of harness racing in this hands-on and educational event for the entire family! You will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts about topics like horse heath and anatomy, blacksmith and hoof care, and driving and training racehorses and you will even have the chance to drive a real racehorse on the track!
