Officials with Horse Racing New Brunswick, in conjunction with the Atlantic Provinces Harness Racing Commission and the New Brunswick Government, are pleased to announce that racing will begin Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Exhibition Park Raceway.

Qualifying dates will be held at EPR on May 30, 2020 at 12:00 noon and again on June 2, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

We are very excited to get racing going here in New Brunswick," said HRNB President Brock McEachern. "Here in New Brunswick, our government has done an excellent job in coordination with public health in keeping COVID-19 under control." New Brunswick has currently had 11 days without a positive test and no active cases.

Like all jurisdictions, there are several changes to how live racing will be conducted. No fans will be permitted at Exhibition Park Raceway and all trainers will have to submit groom rosters ahead of race dates. Social distancing and use of personal protective equipment will be enforced along with guidelines set forth by public health, racing forensics, CPMA and Standardbred Canada.

Officials with HRNB would like to extend an appreciative thank you to Progressive Conservative House Leader Glen Savoie for his help in securing public-health approval requested by the APHRC.

All wagering and viewing can be done on HPIBet.com and fans and bettors are encouraged to check out the website.
