The Maritime Provinces Harness Racing Commission (MPHRC) announced on Tuesday, May 12 that it has terminated the proposed five and five per cent automatic allocation policy for licensed trainers and licensed drivers in the Maritime region.
Following the previous May 27 notice pausing the proposed implementation of the policy, the MPHRC has made the decision to terminate the policy after considering concerns raised by stakeholders and partners within the industry.
The MPHRC would like to thank all individuals and organizations who took the time to provide feedback and communicate their concerns on this matter as the input is valued and plays an important role in the Commission’s decision-making process. The MPHRC stated it remains committed to maintaining strong relationships and open communication with all participants in the industry.
