Organizers with ‘Trotting 4 Charity’ have announced the details of a North American fundraising event that has been scheduled to occur during the May 18 – 20 weekend of racing.
Plans are being organized & coordinated across North America to have this special event benefit varying charities.
Under the premise of the initiative, drivers and trainers will all select a personal charity, and will then wear a custom-made replica jersey of their own colours, which will also feature their participating charity logo.
Drivers will race in their jerseys during the event weekend. Afterwards, an overall auction will be held, and all proceeds from each jersey will be donated to the driver’s personal charity. Once the winning fan donates his bid to the charity, they win the jersey!
There is no limit on the amount of drivers and trainers that can participate, as all the monies raised will go to charity.
Since the design and production process will take weeks to complete, drivers and trainers are urged to complete this step of the process quickly, seeing as though the event is being planned for the May 18 – 20 weekend. Therefore, the deadline for all orders will be Monday, April 16.
