Trot Insider has learned that longtime Standardbred Canada member William Kenneth 'Bill' Bond passed away last night at McMaster Hospital in Hamilton, Ont. He was 80
.
Bond, who has six children, is the father of industry participants Brent, Curt and Randy Bond. He is survived by his wife Mary. Bond had recently been admitted to hospital for a bought with pneumonia.
Visitation is on Wednesday, April 8 at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, 378 Wilson Street in Ancaster from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
The funeral is on Thursday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home in Ancaster.
There is going to be a lunch following the funeral at the Anglican church at the corner of Halson and Wilson St. in Ancaster.
