Jackson Wittup, Standardbred Canada’s Chairman of the Board, today confirmed that SC's Board of Directors will meet on Friday, April 30
, in the afternoon.
The meeting will be held for the express purpose of ratifying SC's next President and Chief Executive Officer, as selected by SC's Selection Committee and Executive Committee.
Wittup expects that the new President and CEO will begin at Standardbred Canada in mid-May. Ted Smith, SC's current President and CEO, will be retiring on May 28.
