Congratulations to Amanda Riley, of Roseneath, Ontario for winning the Fan Club’s first Zoom Challenge.
Amanda captured this “heart of harness racing” moment of her son, Lane and their trotting mare 'Who Took That' at her father in law’s farm (Brett Riley) in Roseneath, Ontario.
Amanda and her husband Tom are a third generation family in racing and started their own stable three years ago. They currently have seven race horses, two Paint riding horses and Lane’s yearling pony Kokanne.
Lane, 17 months old, loves the horses, and loves being in the barn. His favorite horses are Mopey Corey (who he rides) and Who Took That, ‘because she likes hugs.’
Amanda was very excited to have won the contest. She says she never wins anything, and also passed along this comment to the Fan Club:
“I would love for Lane to have the opportunity to grow up in such a wonderful industry, and have the experience in the harness racing world that my husband and I had as kids.”
