Trot Insider has gathered all of the press releases from the North American harness racing industry regarding the March 15, 2010 stakes payment deadline

Payment notices will be added to this notice once they are received.

Stakes Payments Due March 15

Standardbred Canada would like to remind horsemen that stakes payments are due on or before Monday

, March 15.

Payment information and stake conditions can be viewed on the Canadian Stakes Guide by clicking here.

If you did not receive a stakes notice in the mail, a generic stake form can be used to submit payments. It can be located by clicking here.

Two-Year-Old Payments

• Atlantic Sires Stakes $75
• Bill Quigg $75
• Island Breeders Series $200
• Joe O'Brien Memorial $100
• John (Buddy) Campbell Memorial $100 or $450 (see conditions)
• Lady Slipper Series $100
• Maritime Breeders Futurity $300
• Maritimer $125
• NS Stake $100
• Williamson Memorial $100

Horsemen paying the Atlantic Sires Stakes sustaining payment must also pay the Atlantic Standardbred Breeders Association membership fee of $45 per-owner per-year. If you have not already paid this fee in 2010, please remit it with your March 15th stakes payments.

Three-Year-Old Payments

• Canadian Breeders Championship sustaining $200
Sustaining payment notices for the April 15 payment will be mailed after the March 15 payments are made.

Envelopes must be clearly post-marked on or before March 15 to be accepted, despite inadequacies of the postal system.

WEG Stakes Payment Reminder

The Woodbine Entertainment Group would like to remind everyone of the upcoming stakes closing on March 15.

There are numerous stakes nominations and sustaining payments that are due for the circuit’s major stake events.

OSS Two-Year-Old Payment Reminder

The Ontario Sires Stakes Administration would like to remind everyone that March 15 is the deadline for the $500 sustaining fee for Ontario-sired two-year-olds that were nominated to the OSS as yearlings in 2009.

Please be advised that envelopes dropped into a mailbox do not always get postmarked that day. We recommend sending payments by courier or registered mail so you will have proof that you sent it and the envelope can be tracked.

Tioga and Vernon Downs will offer over $4 million in stakes over the course of the 2010 racing season, and the time has come to secure eligibility for those lucrative races.

March Payment Deadline For Hambo Society-Serviced Stakes Approaching

March sustaining and nominating payments for Hambletonian Society stakes events are due Monday, March 15, and per USTA Rule 12 section 4, must be postmarked by midnight on Tuesday, March 16.

The Hambletonian Society services 109 of harness racing’s richest and most prestigious events.

Horsemen are reminded that several payments into the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes program must be sent in and postmarked by this Monday, March 15.

Balmoral, Maywood Stakes Payments Due March 15

Just a reminder for all horsemen that nomination forms and initial stakes payments for events at both Balmoral Park and Maywood Park are due by Monday, March 15.

March 15 is the sustaining payment date for Great Canadian Gaming's signature pacing events - the Confederation Cup at Flamboro Downs and the Upper Canada Cup at Georgian Downs.

Meadowlands Stake Payments Due March 15

Stake payments for Meadowlands Racetrack's early closing program are due Monday, March 15. Payments are due for the Countess Adios, Niatross, Oliver Wendell Holmes and Tarport Hap.
