And the consolation race can feature up to nine starters."
Continued from 2018 in the conditions for the race is that horses that finish sixth through eighth will each get $1,000. Only the top eight money winners this season, up until time of entry, will be allowed in the Prix d'Ete final.
To make nomination payments, owner/trainers can go to standardbredcanada.ca or to quebecjockeyclub.com and get the necessary nomination forms.
Please note there are no supplemental payments allowed for the Prix d'Ete. This first nomination payment must be made to be eligible.

In March, a majority of the payments for Two-Year-Olds in 2020 have their first payment due, whether that be for a stake race or early closing race. The exception to that would be the Breeders Crown and Kentuckiana Stallion Management Pace & Trot which had their first payments due on February 15.
Also due in March for Two-Year-Olds is the Future Eligibility payment for the Breeders Crown in the year 2020. This payment of $500 keeps horses eligible to make the regular payments into the Breeders Crown as a Three-Year-Old next year. Two-Year-Olds who are sired by Breeders Crown-nominated stallions and are not currently eligible to the Breeders Crown can be supplemented to the Breeders Crown in 2020 by making a payment of $1,500 this month.
The second payment for many of the Three-Year-Old and Open races that we service are due this March. The payment amounts and schedules for the rest of the races we are servicing in 2020 will remain the same as they were in 2019. Updated racing conditions for the races we service can be found on our website under each specified race page.
As a reminder, the Meadowlands has added two brand new Early Closers for Older Pacing Horses & Mares with a single payment of $1,000 due by March 16th. They will serve as supporting stakes to the Cutler Memorial on the May 16th nationally televised broadcast for an estimated purse of $85,000.
Information on the stake process is available on the web or by calling the Meadowlands Racing Office at (201) 842-5130.
Eligibility lists can be emailed to those nominators who provide us their e-mail address and request these lists. Eligibility lists are always available on our website.
For further information please, or to update your status on our mailing list, feel free to call (609) 371-2211 or email [email protected].
Meadowlands Policy On Staking Horses In The Care Of Indicted Trainers
The Meadowlands Racetrack would like to clarify its position regarding the sustaining payments to stakes and early-closers due by March 16 on horses that are currently in the care of those affected by the recent indictments and arrests.
It is suggested by the Meadowlands that you make those payments by the deadline as required if you desire to continue eligibility. If you do not make the March 16 sustaining payments, the horses in question will lose eligibility to the stakes to which they were nominated in February.
The stakes conditions provide for a trainer change within a stated time frame, with the stipulation that the change be accepted and approved by the Meadowlands. Those situations will be evaluated by the stakes administrators on a case-by-case basis and that decision shall be final.
The same policy is in effect for stakes and early-closers at Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs that have a March 16 close of nomination.
Horses trained by any of the accused will continue to be excluded from overnight races until further notice.
Questions should be directed to the stakes department for the tracks at 607-972-5500.
