Officials with The Raceway at Western Fair District have confirmed to Trot Insider that the track still plans to race on Wednesday (February 6).
A weather system has blanketed most of southwestern Ontario with ice as a freezing rain warning is under effect and expected to last the majority of the day.
"Now that it's turned to rain the guys are working on the track," said Raceway general manager Greg Blanchard. "We'll know better what we're dealing with in the next hour or two."
Blanchard stated that any change in plans for the Wednesday card would be communicated to the industry as soon as possible, and Trot Insider will update this notice should the card be cancelled.
