Straight Shooting p,2,1:52.3s; 3,1:50.1s; race-timed 3,1:49.2f ($719,198), the Western Terror full brother to multiple world champion mare Drop The Ball p,2,1:50.4; 3,1:49s; 4,1:48.4f; 5,1:48.2f ($1,305,716) has been retired from racing and is standing stud at KEM Standardbreds in Arthur, Ill.

Straight Shooting will stand for an introductory fee of $1,500.

Straight Shooting was a top stakes colt who won the Nassagaweya Stakes and Metro Pace Consolation at two, and at three was second in a Little Brown Jug elimination by just a neck to Breeders Crown champion If I Can Dream, and third in the Little Brown Jug Final behind Well Said and If I Can Dream.

He defeated many of the top stakes colts of his class including If I Can Dream, Vintage Master and Hypnotic Blue Chip. At two, Straight Shooting was second to Well Said by just one and a half lengths after a challenging trip in the Champlain Stakes.

KEM Standardbreds is also offering a few shares of Straight Shooting for $3,500 per share which entitles shareholders to two free breedings per year, plus the chance to breed a third mare each year to ensure two live foals each year. If a third live foal is born in any season while using one share, then the shareholder pays just 75 per cent of the advertised $1,500 stud fee for the third foal.

Inquiries should be directed to KEM Standardbreds, 1580 State Hwy 133, Arthur, IL 61911. Phone: 217-254-0170. Email: [email protected].
