At its annual general meeting held earlier today, the Alberta Standardbred Horse Association produced three new board members among six elected officials.
J.F. Gagne, Dan Sifert and Ricky Schneider are new directors, replacing Ernie Caron, Travis Umphrey and Barry Hill. Bill Andrew returned as vice-president with Norm Kennedy coming back as secretary-treasurer. Hill is now the breeders’ chair, taking the portfolio from Chuck Ibey.
ASHA also announced three new members to the Breeders Committee - Al Neurauter, Terry McIssac and Gordon Empey.
The remaining members of the board of directors who weren't up for election today include Neil Malloch (president), Diane Bertrand (owners’ chair), Ron Baxter (driver/trainer chair), Lorne Duffield (director) and Gerry Hudon (director).
