It is with regret Standardbred Canada announces that it was required to take the necessary steps to remove Mr. Jim Whelan from its Board of Directors effective February 5, 2021.
Mr. Whelan failed to acknowledge and agree to conditions placed on him by the Board as a result of violating Standardbred Canada’s Policies and Procedures as well as its By-Laws.
Unfortunately Mr. Whelan has threatened legal action against Standardbred Canada and as a result, I nor the association, is at liberty to provide any further information at this time.
