Take a break from shoveling snow and the sub-zero temperatures and try your luck in the I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club’s first handicapping challenge of 2013, the second annual Winter Warm-Up Handicapping Contest.
Your challenge is to select the most winners, by head number, in each of the selected contest races on both Saturday, February 16 and Sunday, February 17, 2013. Contest races will be announced on the afternoon of Thursday, February 14 and the contest will close before the first mandatory race on Saturday, February 16. The winner will be the contestant who selects the greatest number of correct winners in each of the mandatory races. In the event that no contestant is perfect in their selections, the winner will be the person who selects the most winners correctly (see Terms and Conditions for more details).
The contest winner will receive an I Love Canadian Harness Racing Winter Warm-Up prize pack which includes a $50 gift certificate to the Canadian racetrack of their choosing, an incredible Fan Club tote filled with our winter merchandise line, and three great racing DVDs – Race Day, Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Cam Fella’s Career and Exhibition Drive.

Winter Warm-Up Handicapping Challenge Terms and Conditions
1. The Standardbred Canada (SC) Winter Warm-Up Handicapping Challenge will be conducted from Thursday, February 14 to Sunday, February 17, 2013, with entry open until 12:59 PM (ET) on Sunday, February 17. No purchase is necessary. There is no cost to register. Contest is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or older as of the date of registration, is an I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club member and has Internet access at time of registration. The contest is void in whole where prohibited by law.
2. The contest winner will be the person who has selected the most winning horses in each of the contest races on both Saturday and Sunday. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by blind draw.
3. In the event of a scratch after final changes are made, contestants who selected the scratched horse will automatically receive the post-time favourite.
4. Winner will be contacted via e-mail at the e-mail address or phone provided on the form.
5. Submissions with incomplete, bogus or invalid names and/or e-mail addresses will not be accepted.
6. Only one entry will be accepted per individual and one per e-mail address. Multiple entries will result in immediate disqualification. SC reserves the right to disqualify any contestant which SC believes has submitted more than one entry.
7. Employees, Directors and immediate family who reside at the same residence, of Standardbred Canada employees or any provincial racing commission employees are not eligible for this contest.
8. No faxed, mailed, electronically mailed, or phoned-in entries are allowed.
9. SC assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, ineligible or mutilated entries. SC is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable hardware or software or telephone transmission or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmission or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of SC and will not be returned.
10. SC reserves the sole right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to this contest.
11. Anything not covered in these rules will be ruled on by the management of SC and their decision will be final and binding.
12. Contestants, by entering the contest, agree to be bound by the above rules and regulations.
