Officials with Monticello Raceway have announced that the track has decided to cancel its program of racing that was scheduled for Tuesday (Feb. 12).
Via release, the track has stated that the cancellation has come due to the timing of the snow that is expected to canvass the area Tuesday morning. The snowfall is expected to make for hazardous conditions for horses that would have been shipping in from nearby training centres and farms.
Live racing at Monticello is scheduled to resume on Wednesday (Feb. 13).
