Longtime Ontario trainer Robert Taylor passed away suddenly on Friday, December 9 in Clinton, Ont.

The well-liked horseman was working with his brother, Paul, a successful standardbred trainer, at the time of his death.

Robert, 52, devoted his life to working with horses and over the years had worked for a number of trainers in the province.

His mother, Joyce, has been a Standardbred Canada field representative for many years.

There will be visitation for Robert at the Falconer Funeral Home, 153 High St., Clinton, Ont., on Wednesday, December 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 1: 00 p.m. with a small service to follow. There will be a celebration of life at the Royal Canadian Legion (95 Kirk, Clinton, Ont.) afterwards.
