When the O’Brien Awards Gala begins, excitement fills the air, horsepeople start mingling and are getting ready to enjoy dinner and honour the best in Canadian harness racing. But before that can happen, we must honour the country that we and our horses all call home and sing ‘O Canada'.
Standardbred Canada is searching for a new voice to join us and kick-off celebrations at the 2018 O’Brien Awards 30th Anniversary Edition, singing the Canadian National anthem in English with a French verse.
If you are a talented, enthusiastic vocalist that enjoys performing in front of large crowds at special events or concerts then this may be the perfect opportunity for you!
Applicants must be available to perform on the evening of Saturday, February 2 at the Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale Hotel in Mississauga, Ont.
One successful applicant will be selected and will receive two tickets to the O’Brien Awards Black Tie Gala (includes dinner) and accommodation for the evening of Saturday, February 2.
