Woodbine Racetrack will present a $40,000 guaranteed pool for its early Pick-4 Sunday afternoon with a special post time scheduled for 1:20 p.m. The Pick-4 will kick off as usual in Race 4.

Greg Gangle of the Woodbine Entertainment Group’s media department has handicapped the four races and has offered his thoughts on the Pick-4.

Overall Summary:

Race 4 - 1, 3, 4
Race 5 - 2, 3, 4
Race 6 - 6, 7
Race 7 - 1, 7, 9
Total - $54 for $1, or $10.80 for $.20

Race 4

#1. Royal Morn - I'm not to worried about him moving up in class this week. If he can come back and pace the same type of mile last week (1:51-ish), then he should be capable of scoring the win. He's a good play at his morning line odds of 5-1, especially with a post 1 start.

#3. Flem N Em N - Is also moving up in class after equaling his lifetime best last week. He has been competitive racing against higher competition and will likely be placed near the front in the early going.

#4. The Mohegan Pan - Will likely be the post time favourite. He exploded late in the mile last week to finish second with a final quarter of :27-seconds. He is getting major class relief and I think he's the winner given the right trip.

Race 5

#2. Sans Frontiere - Trainer/driver Marie Claude Auger gave this filly a great steer to win one of last week's three eliminations. If she can capitalize on the same sort of trip this week, I don't think theirs a filly in this race that can pace with her late in the mile. Marie Claude
Auger is not a regular driver on the circuit which will turn off some bettors but this filly is certainly capable of winning!

#3. Bullet Point - Went down the road last week and never looked back for driver Jody Jamieson. This week Mark MacDonald will steer her and I can expect the same sort of drive. It appears her best stride comes on the front end and she has post three.

#4. Only The Word - Driver Jody Jamieson told me that she was slipping behind the gate in last week's elimination. I'm sure trainer Jeff Gillis will correct that issue which should improve her performance. I picked all three elimination winners from last week. I don't think there is a
standout in this event, it will all come down to the trip.

Race 6

#6. Voelz Hanover - Is again facing class relief which can only increase her chances of finding the winners circle. She has been pacing consistent 1:51 miles, which in this class should be good enough to win. She is the class of the field and I'm sure will be the bettors' choice.

#7. - Run On Luck - Is a very inconsistent performer as of late. She finished second in the F & M Open a few weeks ago then finished a disappointing ninth last week with class relief. She is going down in class again but has won at this level twice in the month of November.

Race 7

#1. Our Lucky Killean - Has shown that this class level suits him best after scoring multiple victories at this level. He has been assigned post one which never hurts but his best effort seems to come from off the pace. You can't ignore his patented late closing kick with consistent final quarters in the :26 - :27 second range.

#7. Kindly Poet - Has been racing at a higher level on the WEG circuit for quite some time. He's down in class and has Jamieson on board. If he's gets the right trip, he's the horse to beat turning for home.

#9. Escape The Wind - Is down in class where he won two starts ago and has the back class with over $ 2 million in the bank. I wouldn't be surprised if Mayotte leaves alertly to get spotted. With 61 career wins he certainly knows how to find the winners circle.
