The field is set for the 67th edition of the Gold Cup and Saucer, presented by Atlantic Lottery, on Saturday, Aug. 22 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The nine finalists received their post positions for the $100,000 race on Tuesday, Aug. 18 in a draw conducted during the live race program and officiated by the Maritime Provinces Harness Racing Commission.
Sugar Man drew the coveted rail for trainer Mark McKinnon. Claire Campbell will serve as the Gold Cup and Saucer Ambassador for the winner of Trial 1.
Jordy N drew post two for trainer Jacques Dupont with Cassidy MacKinnon as ambassador. Timeisonmyside landed post three for trainer Jamie Smith, with ambassador Madison Miller.
Trumpster Blues will start from post four for trainer Jeff Holmes with Alivia Carver serving as ambassador. Ammo drew the middle of the gate in post five for trainer Ron Matheson and ambassador Riah Matheson.
Dupont trainee Helluva N, who won Trial 2, will leave from post six. Sage MacDonald is the ambassador. Brue Hanover drew post seven for trainer Ashley Gamester and ambassador Lilly Murphy.
Defending Gold Cup and Saucer champion Miki Shan N, a winner in Trial 3, will attempt to retain his title from post eight for trainer Chris MacKay with Ella Clow serving as ambassador. Fifth And Five completes the field from post nine for trainer McKinnon and ambassador Jessica Thibeau.
The Gold Cup and Saucer will headline the Saturday-evening program and bring Old Home Week 2026 to a close.
