With the second wave of COVID-19 and the lockdown of racing in some provinces, these are extremely challenging times for many of our members. Standardbred Canada wants to ensure our members have access to the most current news and relevant information for Federal and Provincial programs and resources that may provide assistance to you.
Canada Recovery Benefit
The Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) gives income support to employed and self-employed individuals who are directly affected by COVID-19 and are not entitled to Employment Insurance (EI) benefits. The CRB is administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
If you are eligible for the CRB, you can receive $1,000 ($900 after taxes withheld) for a two-week period.
If your situation continues past two weeks, you will need to apply again. You may apply up to a total of 13 eligibility periods (26 weeks) between September 27, 2020 and September 25, 2021.

The 2021 eligibility fees can be paid, at any time, through the eShop on the Standardbred Canada website, x 251 or x 285 during normal office hours, or by using the fax form. Faxes will be checked during normal office hours.
