There were a slew of upsets on the Wednesday (Dec. 19) card at Pompano Park, headlined by Stache (Alessandro Spano), who kicked off the Pick 4 by upsetting as the longest shot on the board, returning $110.60.
The result would ultimately end in no winning Pick 4 tickets, leaving an $11,123 carryover into Thursday (Dec. 20). Track officials, in conjunction with the USTA’s Strategic Wagering Program, have added an ‘instant guarantee’ of $35,000 for the total Thursday pool.
With the shortened eight-race program, the Pick 4 will begin in race five. It features a 50-cent minimum and offers the lowest takeout in North America at just 12 per cent.
The Pick 6 also went unsolved on Wednesday night, with the carryover growing to $5,378 heading into Thursday night’s third race.
Live racing continues at the Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park five nights per week, with a first post of 7:20 p.m. every Sunday through Thursday. There will be no live racing Dec. 24 or 25.
