The I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club’s Heart of Harness Racing Calendar Photographer for December 2015 is Marc Ferron of Beresford, New Brunswick.
Marc captured this image of Nancy and Zoe Guerette with Smooth Sammy G, aka “Sammy”. Marc met Nancy through her work as a Personal Support Worker and he convinced her to do a photo shoot with her horse.
Marc is a supervisor at Bathurst Hospital and is also a professional photographer. “I love taking pictures of horses,” he states. To check out more of Marc’s work, click here.
“Sam” is Nancy’s best friend and has been her therapy for chronic pain she endures after she was involved in a car accident 18 months ago. “I just can’t imagine not having him,” she affirms. “I’ve always loved standardbred horses and I wanted to give him a chance when he was done racing with a good forever home with lots of love.”
