Standardbred owner Pierrette Côté (née Descarreaux) of Anjou, Que. passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, Nov. 5 at the age of 89.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame trainer/driver Benoit Côté. She was the adored mother of Alain, Marc, Lucie and Eric as well as the step-mother of Louise, Céline, Gilles and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Stéphanie (Nick), David (Krystina), Tania, Lisa-Julie (Jim), Henrick, Joëlle, Adrien and Ruby as well as her sisters, Thérèse, Charlotte and Murielle, her brother, Jean-Guy, as well as many relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences at the Urgel Bourgie funeral complex (6700 Beaubien East, Montreal, Que.) on Sunday, Nov. 21 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Monday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The funeral will be held on Monday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Notre-Dame-D'Anjou Church (8200 Place de l'Eglise, Anjou, Que.).
