Longtime horseman James Wilfred 'Murph' Murphy of Windsor, Ont. passed away at the age of 78 on Thursday, Nov. 4.
Murph was an avid North American horseman and harness racer.
Cherished husband of 52 years to Nancy Mayerhofer Murphy. Beloved father to Paul, Dina, and Kim (Skip). Forever remembered by his siblings John, Leona, Colleen, and Patrick. Proud Papa to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Murph will also be dearly missed by his extended family and friends.
As per Murph's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Jim worked for my father Jack
Jim worked for my father Jack Gordon in 1962 1963 and 1964. There was no winter racing then. When racing was finished we would come home to our farm in Cold Springs. Jim spent the winters with us at my dads farm. Jim new how to enjoy life. We had a lot of fun times back then. Rest in piece my friend. Condolences to the Murphy family.
