The 2016 Harrisburg Mixed Sale concludes Friday with the second of two mixed sale sessions at the PA Farm Show Complex.

With a focus on racehorses, a number of familiar names fetched in excess of $100,000 from the crowd in attendance. A total of 14 racehorses sold for that price or higher, with pacing mare Bettor Be Steppin garnering the most attention. The four-year-old multiple stakes-winning daughter of Bettors Delight - Two Steppin Sally was purchased by Hanover Shoe Farms for $200,000.

She was purchased by Hunterton Farms' Steve Stewart for $250,000.

Thus far, 180 broodmares have amassed gross sales of $4,876,000, bringing an average of $27,089.

While he wasn't present in the sales ring, Muscle Hill remains a red-hot harness racing commodity. Two shares of the stallion were offered in the stallion share section of the auction and both attracted international interest.
