Two breeds, two races, two tracks, one dollar, one bet… five more times.
The ‘New York, New York Double,’ a cooperative effort between the New York Racing Association and Yonkers Raceway, will return this coming Sunday afternoon (November 13), and will continue during Yonkers’ remaining Sunday matinees through the end of the racing season.
For the afternoon of the 13th, the wager will encompass Aqueduct’s third race (post time 1:18 p.m.) and Yonkers’ fifth race (post time 1:25 p.m. after a first post of 11:25 a.m.).
Information regarding the remaining common Sundays (Nov. 20 and 27, Dec. 4 and 18) shall be sent when available.
“We’re very happy to continue this wager, and we encourage all racing fans to look at it,” Raceway COO Bob Galterio said. “It wouldn’t be possible without the cooperation of NYRA, its horsemen, our horsemen and the New York State Gaming Commission.
“We also appreciate other racing jurisdictions who have made this bet available to their fans.”
Past performance pages for these races shall be made available in all corresponding on-track and simulcast programs. The ‘New York, New York Double,’ also available through Empire City Bets, is a one-dollar minimum wager and an 18.5 per cent takeout rate.
