Cal Expo and derbywars.com are offering another in a series of free $500 handicapping contests on Saturday night’s Watch and Wager LLC program.
The contest covers Cal Expo Races 2 through 8 and will start at 6:30 p.m. (PT). Last week saw all 500 spots filled and 500 more entries will be taken this weekend.
Players can enter the free $500 contest by going to derbywars.com/tournaments/309814 and the top 50 finishers win money.
Free past performances are available courtesy of trackmaster.com, there is a new live leaderboard and the Cal Expo TV broadcast will show a live update of the leaderboard after each race.
First post for the 14-race program is 6:10 p.m. and there will be a $20,090 carryover in the 20-cent Pick 4 with a $75,000-guaranteed pool and a $5,685 carryover in the 50-cent Pick 5. Both wagers come with a reduced 16 per cent takeout rate.
