Due to ongoing discussions between the industry and Alberta Health Services on receiving exemption status for live horse racing, Century Mile has made the decision to cancel the card of harness racing slated for Saturday (Nov. 28).
"We were waiting on an exemption from Government and had to cancel today as we were running out of time for shippers and Lasix," Century's Paul Ryneveld told Trot Insider. "We just received word at 12:15 p.m. (MT) that we will be allowed to race tomorrow [Sunday, Nov. 29] and during this round of health restrictions."
