Live racing at the Meadowlands Racetrack will return on Friday (November 4) with a dozen solid overnight events beginning at 7:15 p.m. and the excitement of this year's Breeders Cup simulcast throughout the building all weekend.
The Billings Amateur Series comes through town with a competitive field of nine set to kick off the weekend in the first half of Friday's Daily Double.
The Friday feature is a conditioned trot (Race 6) with an interesting mix of accomplished veterans, led by the 2012 Hambletonian winner of over $3.7 million, Market Share, facing a hard-hitting group that includes Rock Of Cashel, Opulent Yankee and Waiting On A Woman.
In regard to the Breeders Cup from Santa Anita, the Friday races will get underway at 2:25 p.m. local time with four Cup races. The big day is the Saturday card that starts at 1:15 (ET) and will conclude with the $6 million Classic featuring the highly anticipated battle between champion California Chrome and upstart Arrogate scheduled for around 8:30 p.m.
