Monticello Electronic Table Games Unveiled

On Tuesday, November 9, Monticello Casino and Raceway began a new era in gaming with the installation of electronic table games

. And once it was announced that the games were up and running, guests flocked to the machines -- not to only test their fortunes, but to also gain knowledge about playing.

The first guest to indulge was Rosemary Ohlig of Hawley, PA. With her hubby upstairs playing the horses, Mrs. Ohlig sat down and tried her luck with the electronic roulette wheel.

“This is a little different than playing the slots, but I know I’m going to get to like it, especially since I won on my first try,” she said.

“Customers have been asking for table games since we opened with the slots in 2005, and today is a great day; and we thank the New York State Lottery for working with many people to make this a reality,” Monticello Raceway and Casino Slots Manager Anthony Bruno said.

The new electronic games differ from the slots in that minimum plays are for two dollars and guests can play up to $100 per spin.

“We believe electronic table games in New York and at Monticello Casino and Raceway will be a big success,” noted MC&R President and General Manager Cliff Ehrlich.
