On Tuesday, October 25, the Ontario Racing Commission released a trio of rulings. One was in regard to Buck I St Pat's eligibility to the Breeders Crown, but the other two were in relation to Lidocaine, Levamisole and Aminorex

positives.

It has already been reported that Buck I St Pat was deemed ineligible to contest the 2011 edition of the Breeders Crown, although, to read the official ORC ruling on the matter click here.

The ORC ruling in relation to the Lidocaine and Desthyl Lidocaine positives was in regard to Blake Curran's appeal of the $5,000 fine and two-year-old suspension he had been handed.

The ORC ruled that Curran's suspension of two years (with 180 days varied) is now varied to two years (with one year stayed) less time served from July 21, 2011 to October 19, 2011. The ORC upheld the $5,000 fine and also upheld a two-year probation period. The commission also ruled that should any medication rule be violated during the course of the probation, the stay will automatically expire. The ORC ruling in relation to the Levamisole and Aminorex positives was in regard to Ron Beback, Jr.'s appeal of the $5,000 fine, one-year suspension and two-year probation the ORC had handed him previously.

The ORC ruled that Beback's suspension of one year has been varied to one year (with eight months stayed) less time served from August 5, 2011 to October 20, 2011; the fine has been reduced from $5,000 to $4,000; and the two-year probation is upheld. Also, should any medication rule be violated during the course of the probation, the stay will automatically expire.
