The draw is complete and the stage is set for the $8,400 Maritime Breeders Final for three-year-old trotters Saturday at Red Shores' Charlottetown Driving Park.
First-race post time is 6:00 p.m.
The event, named in honour of the late John 'Buddy' Campbell a former trainer, race secretary and starter at the CDP, will go behind the gate for Race 7 with Majian Dillon listed as the morning line favourite at 5-2. Jim Ripley trains the Amherst, NS-based trotter and has assigned Gilles Barrieu to do the driving from Post 4. Ripley guided the son of Nikes Image to victory in his last start while Barrieau mapped out a wining trip during the Atlantic Breeders Crown weekend. Ripley will be aboard stablemate and 4-1 shot Majian Chester from Post 6. It could be a big pay day for Marylea Ripley who owns both horses.
Other favourites include Sweetwater Rukkus (to be driven by Jack Panting) and Est Non Ila Dulcis (Marc Campbell). All the horses have earned the right to be in the final and they include, from the rail out, Dusty Red Lane (PP1, Paul Lanigan), Est Non Ila Dulcis (PP2, Marc Campbell), Moulded Image (PP3, Mike Stevenson), Majian Dillon (PP4, Gilles Barrieau), Sweetwater Rukkus (PP5, Jack Panting), Majian Chester (PP6, James Ripley), Lil Miss Abbie (PP7, Mark Cullen) and My Daisy Duke (PP8, Corey MacPherson).
In other news, Allbentouttashape, who is riding a three-race winning streak for driver Ken Murphy and his dad, owner-trainer Cliff Murphy, meets a stiff class when the five-year-old former stakes star meets Carnivore in the evening’s top class. Carnivore is the favourite after his 1:54 performance back on October 6. For the complete line-up see entries here.
MacPhee Back in Action at Summerside
Brodie MacPhee is booked drive in every race of the 12-dash program Sunday at Red Shores Summerside.

The Donald Sweet trainee has been knocking on the door of a win with three second place finishes on his chart lines. Roccos Cavallo, trained by Tyler Desroches, has also been entered for Ken Murphy. The pacer is coming off an impressive 1:58.3 score last week while Ron Hall’s Narrgansett get reunited with Jason Hughes.
The top class also includes Instant Fantasy, First Lady of Art and McMaverick,
Gary Chappell also has a busy day at the office with 11 horses to drive on the program. Chappell has teamed up with Kwik Kopy in the Drive for Charity event, which launched at Red Shores Summerside back on May 28 to raise money for Easter Seals Society. Chappell has a shot of joining the other eight drivers who have maxed out at $1,000 each for their charities this weekend. The event closes on October 28.
