The Rideau Carleton Raceway Board of Directors has announced that Jean Larose has been appointed the track's new general manager

.

Larose was the general manager of the Hippodrome d'Aylmer for several years, where he managed the full operations of the racetrack. Larose is a chartered accountant, has a business background, and is highly regarded in the standardbred racing industry. All these attributes and more made him the natural choice to compliment and lead the RCR team into our next half a century.

Larose is not only a racing executive, but a knowledgeable fan which will bring a racing focus to the position. RCR President Warren G. Armstrong is excited about the appointment. “We took a great deal of time going over many able candidates over the past year or so," he said. "Every time we whittled down the list, we kept coming back to Jean.”

Larose will assume his duties in Mid-November.

je suis certain que tu feras un excellent travail, sans aucun doutes.

Jean has the necessary experience and drive to successfully manage Rideau Carleton. Besides his qualifications, he is a fan and regular visitor to Rideau. I am extremely pleased for Jean and the horsemen at Rideau Carleton. Congratulations Mr. Armstrong.
