Flamboro Announces Incentives

After having been forced to cancel four of its live programs in the past three weeks, Flamboro Downs has announced that it is offering its customers and horsepeople some added incentives in light of the unfortunate turn of events.

In terms of the electrical issues that the track has faced, Flamboro officials have stated that electricians are currently at work repairing and replacing damaged relays, and that the track does not foresee any further disruptions due to track lighting.

In an effort to begin to make amends for the unforeseen cancellations, Flamboro officials have said that the track has added additional races for this Thursday’s live program, and that the track will offer an assortment of promotions centred around dining and giveaways.

The release, the contents of which appear below, states that, ‘We at Flamboro Downs share in your frustration, and sincerely apologize for the inconveniences caused to you, our valued customers and horsemen.’


An Open Letter To Our Customers & Horsemen

Due to recent electrical issues with track lighting, extreme cold, and poor racing surfaces caused by rapid swings in temperature, we’ve been forced to cancel 4 days of live racing within the past 3 weeks. We at Flamboro Downs share in your frustration, and sincerely apologize for the inconveniences caused to you, our valued customers and horsemen.

Please know, at this very moment, electricians are at work to repair and replace the damaged relays and we foresee no further disruptions due to track lighting.

It was and is of upmost importance to us, that we try to make amends for the inconveniences suffered. To start, please find below a list of upcoming initiatives and promotions:

  • Additional races have been added to this Thursday’s card, now totaling 12, featuring over $77,000 in purses

  • On Saturday February 3rd, we will feature a $10 buffet in the Top Of The Turn dining room, with 100% of all sales going to the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society (OSAS), an approved charitable organization, which assists in the adoption and relocation of retired and non-racing Standardbred horses within Ontario

  • Customer Appreciation Day, this Sunday January 28th, with 50% off all items at the Deli Concession (2nd Floor) and tons of giveaways including 10 dinners for two in the Top Of The Turn dining room, Raptors tickets, Flamboro Downs merchandise / apparel, and more!
