Brad Forward celebrated a major milestone on Tuesday at Western Fair Raceway – a track where he has successfully plied his trade at for the last number of seasons.
Forward started the day just one win away from hitting the 3,000-win mark, and he managed to find that victory in today's eight race with a three-year-old colt by Rambaran named J W Rambo.
He tacked on another win later in the day with KG Comet in Race 11 to bring his lifetime win total to 3,001. The Newfoundland native is quickly closing in on the $3 million mark in 2008 earnings.
By the end of the season, Forward should have no problem vaulting his lifetime earnings over the $18 million mark. He has put together seven consecutive $1 million seasons, and has enjoyed at least 300 wins in each of the last five seasons.
