A pair of wins on Thursday at Exhibition Park Raceway was just enough for sulky sitter Gilles Barrieau to enter the 3,000 win club.

The recipient of Canada's 2005 O'Brien Award of Horsemanship found his way to the winner's circle in Race 1 following an off-the-pace score with Dr. Hugh Baird's Lobster Tailnbeer, who halted the teletimer in 2:02.1.

Barrieau was back to claim the milestone in Race 8 with Dilingers Lady, who also used off-the-pace tactics to secure her 2:01.4 score for partners Debra Kirkpatrick and Serge Cormier.

The gifted sulky sitter is annually one of the nation's leading reinsmen when it comes to UDR. In fact, he is currently holding down a .445 UDR. If he can maintain that number throughout the course of the season it would make it four consecutive years of batting .400 or better.

The 10-race program also featured a quartet of ATSS divisions for trotters, with a pair of co-ed divisions for both the two and three-year-olds.

Dunmore Laird took the first $7,000 division for the rookies in a time of 2:10.2 for trainer Earl Smith and driver Shane Bernard. The son of Black River is owned by Cory Sudsbury and Thane Mann of PEI.

Dunmore Chip got the job done in the second split for owner/trainer/driver Edward Smallwood. The son of Black River now boasts a 3-2-0 record from his first seven starts. He has banked $15,591 to date.

Scarlet Destiny picked up her first win of the season and the fifth of her career when she stepped to a 2:05.2 triumph in the first $7,040 division for the three-year-olds. The Nikes Image miss was victorious for trainer/driver Darryl MacLean and owner Gordon MacLean of Winsloe, PEI.

Rustico Trisox took the other split, and in doing extended his win streak to four-in-a-row for trainer/driver Joey Pineau and owners John Pineau and Myron Ford of PEI. The 2:04.4 tally gives the filly nine wins in 10 starts this season, and it lifted her lifetime earnings to $57,555.
