More Cheers For Barona Lilac

Barona Lilac extended her win streak for charity on Sunday afternoon, making it five in a row at Truro Raceway.

Using the same racing style as last week, the Darren Crowe stable's Barona Lilac rallied from last at the half-mile mark and drew off by 10-1/4 lengths to win the $1,375 top class in a new season's best clocking of 1:56 flat. Fedora and Wishes In The Rain completed the triactor.

Through the month of September, the five-year-old Ameripan Gigolo mare is racing for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colchester as part of the 'Cheering for Charity' campaign, sponsored by Meridian Farms and Truro Raceway.

Earlier on the card, SF Razamatazz reached the milestone mark of 50 career wins with a three-length romp in 1:58.2. The nine-year-old Cam Terrific gelding is owned by trainer/driver Mark Whidden, Barry Whidden, Ellsworth Atkinson and Bruce McGrath.
