Taylor Takes Top Spot At Clinton

Trainer Paul Taylor clinched the trainers title at Clinton Raceway on the final day of the meet with his stable producing three winners on the 12-race card.

The Clinton, Ont. conditioner scored his first win of the day in the opener with the maiden-breaking freshman colt Busselton. Veteran trotter Lucky George notched his 65th career victory in the third race and pacer Break Out K won the fourth race to complete the triple. Travis Bowman drove all three Taylor trainees.

Taylor's three victories on Sunday put his local win total at 10 to give him a one win lead over Allan Shelton.

Driver Trevor Henry added one more win to his meet leading total of 39.
