The records keep coming for driver Tim Tetrick, who recently became the youngest driver in harness racing history to surpass $100 million in lifetime earnings

.

Tetrick quietly hit the $100 million plateau aboard Buck I St Pat on Sunday, August 21 during Harrah's Chester's Super Sunday Stakes program.

Not only is Tetrick the youngest to hit the earnings mark, Tetrick is also the first driver to reach $100 million in purses before his 30th birthday. John Campbell was the youngest before Tetrick at the age of 36.

Bob 'Hollywood' Heyden also notes that the "Bionic Man" was the first to reach the $10 million milestone in seasonal earnings for the fifth straight year and is looking for his fifth straight earnings title. The last driver to lead for five straight years? John Campbell.

Heyden also notes that four of the five largest single-season campaigns in harness racing history belong to Tetrick.

1) Tim Tetrick - 2008 - $19,752,066
2) Tim Tetrick - 2007 - $18,350,047
3) Brian Sears - 2008 - $16,667,090
4) Tim Tetrick - 2010 - $16,485,409
5) Tim Tetrick - 2009 - $16,296,672

Tetrick is the 13th driver to reach the $100 million plateau, joining an elite group of harness racing's top reinsmen. In the last five years alone, Tetrick's horses have banked an astonishing $81 million and counting. He'll look to add to that total on Saturday night with nine drives at Mohawk Racetrack.

I'm confident that he also has to have the record for most seasons of over $15 mil in succession.
