Three-year-old trotting gelding Chief Zuma provided trainer Audrey Dumont with her first career victory during Friday night's harness racing program at Rideau Carleton Raceway.

Driver Denis St. Pierre sent Chief Zuma down the road for a 7-1 upset in the fifth race. The son of Striking Sahbra won the conditioning race by three and a half lengths in 1:58.

Dumont co-owns the gelding with fellow La Presentation, Que. resident Yves Sarrazin. Chief Zuma was the 29-year-old conditioner's fourth starter.

St. Pierre drove a total of four winners during the 14-race card, including three-year-old pacing filly Amazing Step, who continued a win streak that she began back in the month of July. The daughter of Armbro Deuce went wire-to-wire in 1:58.1 in her eighth race conditioning assignment to notch her fifth consecutive victory. She is trained by Dominic Gladu for Quebec owners Gilbert Sauve of St-Jacques and Ecuries De Senneville Inc. of Senneville.

St. Pierre's other winners were Windham Hanover and Make Me Laugh.
