The slow going wasn't an issue for Woodmere Ideal Art on Saturday (Sept. 25) at Exhibition Park Raceway. The only question heading into the weekly feature was who to pick with the veteran pacer barred from wagering.
And Woodmere Ideal Art showed why officials at HRNB barred the horse from wagering after his coast-to-coast score in the Saturday finale. Todd Trites sent the barred entry to the front and carved out fractions of :28.2, :58.2 and 1:29 before opening up on his rivals in the stretch for the open-length 1:59.4 decision. K D Overdrive (Kyle Mason) closed well to edge out pocket-sitter Thankyouallmyfans (Stephen Trites) for second.
