It was recently announced that Meridian Farms will be donating the winning bid on one of their yearlings selling at this year’s Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Select Standardbred Yearling Sale, to the Bible Hill Fire Brigade. Trot Insider has learned which yearling it is.
“The selected yearling is Hip #32, Ashes To Ashes,” said Nova Scotia Harness Racing Industry Association Executive Director Robyn Crowe. “He is a Driven To Win colt, and a first foal out of Red Star Ashlee.
“The Bible Hill Volunteer Fire Brigade members are looking forward to promoting this great initiative and are very thankful to Meridian Farms for their generosity.”
October is also Fire Awareness month, which is a great tie in for the Bible Hill Volunteer Fire Brigade to be the participating charity in the Cheering for Charity program. Members are going to be trackside cheering Barona Lilac on throughout the month as she tries to extend her win streak.
The Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Select Yearling Sale is to be held on Friday, October 23, 2015, starting at 5 p.m. in the Agridome at the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Grounds in Truro, NS. For more information, click here.
