Ok Eros was a repeat winner in Sudbury Downs' Late Boomer Pacing Series on Sunday afternoon and part of a second leg series double for driver Justin Turcotte and trainer James Belanger.

After hanging on by a head in his $7,500 opening leg division last weekend, Ok Eros ($3.10) posted an authoritative eight length victory in round two. Turcotte picked up the drive behind the four-year-old Mach Three gelding and steered him to the 2:00 triumph for the Champlain Stables of Azilda, Ont.

Turcotte also catch-drove Belanger trainee Shes So Perfect ($3.90) to a 2:01.1 quarter-length victory over first leg winner Second Thoughts. The sophomore daughter of Perfect Life, who was a close runner-up in the series opener, is also owned by the Champlain Stables.

The other division was won by Hot N Shooting, who circled the final field to win by a nose over Ideal Odds. The three-year-old Sand Shooter gelding, who finished second to Ideal Odds in last week's leg, stopped the clock in 2:00 for trainer/driver Wayne MacLean and owner Aimee Ranger of Val Caron, Ont.

The Late Bloomer Series is for non-winners of one race or $15,000 (fillies and mares $18,750) lifetime as of Sept. 2, 2013.

In other racing action, Mike Lamoureux trainees Spartacus Jim ($7.50), driven by Turcotte, and Shiny Mach, with Wayne MacLean aboard, swept the top two spots in this week's $5,800 Preferred 2 Handicap Pace. Spartacus Jim prevailed by two lengths over his stablemate in 1:56.3.

Lamoureux trainee Windsong Experanza ($5.30) also won the $4,500 Fillies & Mares Preferred 3 in 1:58.3 with David Dowling at the reins.
